How will this campaign help solve the problem?

Why am I doing this campaign?

Within the last ten days of Ramadan, I wanted to make this campaign to help those in Gaza, Palestine. For those who are Muslims, we are taught the importance of the Prophet (SAW)'s words and the importance of helping those in need whenever possible; "None of you will believe until you love for your brother what you love for yourself" (related by Bukhari & Muslim). As we struggle through these difficult times, we often forget those around us who are suffering in ways that many of us can only imagine. Since the 2007 blockade imposed on Gaza, Palestinians have been facing a humanitarian disaster as access to basic necessities needed for survival have been restricted. For an average of 1.9 million people, only 11% of Palestinians in Gaza having access to safe drinking water and fewer than 6 hours of electricity per day. Healthcare facilities have been severely under-equipped and overloaded; the COVID-19 pandemic only exacerbating the original problem as many already live in close proximity to one another. Donating whatever you can to this program will help ensure that individuals in Gaza receive the help that they deserve.

I have always been drawn to the strength of the Palestinians and their determination for independence. Like many of you, I have grown up learning about the stories of life in the Middle East before and after the calamities. Being both Palestinian and Jordanian, I feel a connection to both the people and the country and want to help in any way that I can, no matter how small. With your help, whether it is donating or sharing this page, InshaAllah we can achieve this goal. :)

What exactly will you be providing these individuals with?

Food Pack - A serving of food with tomato paste, rice, oil, and spices that feed anywhere from one individual to one family.

Hygiene Kit - A hygiene pack with soaps and shampoos for individuals to maintain a proper hygiene during these tough times.

Coronavirus Testing Kits - Testing kits for individuals that show symptoms of having COVID-19.

Protective Medical Equipment - For our frontline supporters this medical equipment will allow for them to do their jobs while helping those in need and staying protected.

Financial Assistance - At times, individuals will require financial assistance to get them back on their feet. For those individuals we can provide grants.

​Will this initiative be carried out by a trusted non profit?

The money donated to this program will be sent directly to PennyAppealUSA, who will distribute it accordingly- I am only raising money for this program to do so.
